So I got my ass up and out the door at 7 for a tempo run. I'm too lazy right now to look it up on my gps, but I ran about 3 miles in 28 minutes. Not very fast, but not terrible either.
I am getting terribly nervous about my 1/2 marathon in September. K. is going to kick butt and I am probably going to crawl over the finish line in the last hours of the whole damn race.
I was talking to a friend who is doing an iron man triathalon in 2 weeks. It sounds HARD. My measly 13 miles seems like nothing compared to his goal.

i'm doing a half-marathon in january. you want to see crawling to the finish line moments from dying? come see me. i haven't started training yet. YOU are doing great!
13 miles (or 21 K up here in canada aye) is anything but measly.
You will do it. Once you hit that 16 K mark you know you have done it. you can do 21 K no problem.
A race has a different energy than training and the mood around you will speed you along. This I promise.

I haven't done a half marathon yet. I've done many 5ks and am doing my second triathlon this weekend. Good luck...I love running too.
